Clearwater Marine Services

We are a family-owned and operated small   business. We started in 1996 in our front yard until our neighbors complained.  Dick, the president, has been involved in the marine industry for over 50 years and has passed his knowledge on to his sons, who are co-vice-presidents.  Mom does the books and   keeps things running. 

It is not unusual to find a couple of grandkids and a dog or two running around.  Our family has been boating on Puget Sound and we   can honestly  say  that a boat is a fantastic way to get your children outdoors(away from a computer), get some fresh air and maybe even catch a fish or two. 

We are located in the northwest corner of our beautiful country in Bellingham, Washington.  Fifty miles to our east is   majestic Mt. Baker, Puget Sound to the west, Vancouver, BC just north of the 49^th parallel and Seattle directly south all within an hour or two.  Yes, it does rain here all of the time, so you wouldn’t like it. ha   

As previously stated, our family runs the show, but we are working owners.  Dick has brought his expertise to the parts counter and repairing classic motors.   Our sons think that any motor older than they are should be in a museum, but providing parts are available, Dick   can usually resurrect   a classic motor to peak performance.      Like many mom and pop businesses, we have been hit hard by the downturn in our economy.  We’ve had to tighten our belts and eliminate our new boat sales.  We do, however, sell new motors and Dave is the vice-president of sales.  Re-powers are our specialty, both inboard and outboard.  Our staff is well-trained and
